Taro’s by Mikuni

We did one of those pre-set meals that came with 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 2 rolls and 1 dessert. It’s quite a nice deal for 2 people’s dinner for $35. Our appetizer was the Flaming Shrooms: which is mushrooms stuffed with crab mix, cream cheese, jalapeños, lightly fried, drizzled with special sauce and topped with shaved bonito flakes. The dish ended up being one of the best things we ate all night.
The seared ahi tuna was actually the most disappointing dish of the night. It had a very bland with smoky undertones to it which was unsettling when trying to appreciate the dish. Thankfully, Joe was with me and he isn’t as picky of an eater as I am and finished the plate off for us. After eating this dish, I officially made the decision that there are better sushi options in the area.
