Our group of peds interns came here for dinner on a Friday night. Making the reservation was surprisingly easy. whenever I drive by this place, I’ve always thought it was this little tiny thing of a store and so I wasn’t sure if they’d be able to accomodate a large group. Parking was a pain, they had a lot with about 10 spaces (our group alone had 10 ppl), so some people had to park on the street and walk to the restaurant which was no biggy. The area surrounding the restaurant is safe enough so it’s not sketch to ask customers to walk in the dark in this neighborhood. Our group got a variety of sushi rolls, hot entrees and of course, edamame appetizer. The sushi quality wasn’t that amazing or fresh, and a little on the pricey side. Joe had the udon which hit the spot for a cool, breeze-y night, and he let me snatch one of his shrimp tempuras which was pretty dam good but it’s pretty hard to screw up fried shrimp. Overall, i would say I’m glad we checked off this restaurant off my list of places to visit as it’s on my drive home from work every day, but not too sure if it’ll become one of my regular dining spots. Back to dreaming of Jiro…..
