The Da Vinci

If someone had told me I would live within 5 minutes of an Italian specialty grocery store, I would’ve said get out of town! I love Italian food! Carbs = love! I actually came here cuz I’m a deli meat snob and can only really chow down Boar’s head and this is the only grocery around me that carries Boar’s head. Total coincidence that I ended up here! Anywho, they have tons of fresh mozzarellas (did you say it with the accent? Think of Giada, every word in her sentence will come out in perfect American accent and then moz-arella gets its very exaggerated Italian accent) and fresh hand made pastas. As I was leaving with my fresh deli meats, I saw that they had a sandwich cafe and thought, why not? And went with the Da Vinci which was a Sweet Italian sausage with a roasted red pepper marinade but I substituted mine for delicious pesto (summer time and fresh basil everywhere!). my sandwich was delicious (wouldn’t have minded toasted bread but that’s just me being nit-picky). Overall, delicious sandwich and will def return for those pastas (and Boar’s head).
