made up drink

This restaurant was super packed when we got here, apparently there was a show in town and everybody was eating dinner at 6 PM to go to the show at 8. Every table was literally taken! We ended up eating dinner at the bar just so that we could sit down. But sitting at the bar had its perks, the bar tender was super talented and creative and created this drink for us on the spot. He asked us what we were in the mood for and created this concoction. It was a mixture of strawberry lemonade and vodka.

grilled chicken BLT salad

We started off with the grilled chicken BLT salad which had grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, red onions, cherry tomatoes, balsamic vinagrette and bacon. It was alright, just okay for a salad.

chicken and waffles

Since this was their signature dish, I ordered the fried chicken breast with tabasco-black pepper country gravy, belgian waffle, pecan butter and maple syrup. The waffle was delicious! it was sweet and crunchy! however, when I cut into the chicken, it was bright pink…..I mean I understand that the place was packed and they were probably rushing dishes to get orders out. But, c’mon, undercooked chicken could mean salmonella! I seriously debated just to eat the waffles since it had taken so long for our food to come out but decided that I really wanted to sample the fried chicken so I showed it to the bartender who took it back to the kitchen and they threw another order on the fly. The 2nd dish came out better, but still undercooked, so I ended up just eating the waffles with pecan butter and maple syrup which was pretty delicious!

prime rib french dip

My dad ordered the prime rib french dip with came out in a nice au jus. I tried a bite and it was pretty good. But to be honest, I’m not that biggest prime rib fan so I wouldn’t be the best judge of this dish.

shrimp scampi

My mom ordered the shrimp scampi which is the other main dish that they are known for. Honestly, this dish was really good. The lemon-buttery sauce was great on the pasta cuz the parmesan cheese worked as a sponge. The shrimp were huge and juicy. I really liked this dish and probably would re-order this one out of the three that we ordered.
