We came here early on a Friday morning, thinking we could out-smart the masses. But when we got here, the place was packed! We were told there was a 45 minute wait……for breakfast! I was determined to try a specific dish and since we were on vacation, we had 45 minutes to kill. After we put our name down for a table, I looked down and saw a clock moving on the floor and had to take a photo of it.
Joe ordered the huevos rancheros which came highly recommended. It looked so beautiful, like a work of art. I got to try a bite and it was so deliciously cheesy. We wanted to get hot sauce, but our waiter was like avoiding our table. We had such a hard time trying to get his attention. Joe ended up just eating his dish without the hot sauce because we had waited so long for our food to come out, we didn’t want to wait any longer.
I had heard about the foie gras brioche french toast and this was the reason for our visit to this restaurant. My dish was colorful and sooooo rich in flavor. Wow, I had to take frequent breaks (for air) and also to give my palette rest because the flavor was so rich. I had never really understood really rich dishes before until this meal, this dish just takes your breath away.
