8132 Hampson St.
New Orleans, LA
I haven’t really had the opportunity to venture out on Hampson St in New Orleans soooo I was ecstatic when my friend suggested eating at One restaurant. I love the interior sophisticated yet intimate ambience. Especially when you can look into the kitchen and see what’s going on.
My friend ordered the chargrilled Louisiana oysters with Roquefort cheese and red wine vinagrette. These were delicious, especially the roquefort cheese.I loved how there were so many oysters on this! Practically an entree size.
The crabcakes weren’t memorable but the mirliton fries with roasted garlic aioli were delicious! I couldn’t stop myself from stuffing my face with these.
My friend had the grilled gulf fish in a shrimp, lime, and coconut broth served with mushrooms and basmati rice pilaf and baby bok choy. I tried a bite of my friend’s and I loved the refreshing combination of lime and coconut.
The grilled beef tenderloin was very juicy with the warm beef shoulder rillette. The cheese glacage were deep fried and so delicious!
