The Northampton Brewery
11 Brewster Court
Northampton, MA
We came here with a big group of people and I was glad to say that they could easily accomodate us. The Brewery is the oldest operating brewpub in New England. I heard about eating on the 2nd floor but I didnt have the pleasure. I was looking over their beer list and the pumpkin ale looked good!
The fried calamari appetizer was served with a hot pepper jelly sauce and a warm marinara sauce. The calamari was decent, your usual fried crispy yummy-ness.
The large classic nachos was big enough for our big group to split. It was baked with Monterey Jack cheese, topped with jalapenos, black olives, and scallions. It came with a side of salsa and sour cream. It was pretty tasty. Usually the fear w wet toppings on chips is soggy chips, but that was not the issue here! yay!
The cheeseburger was a 1/2 lb patty with cheese, lettuce, tomato. My burger was quite dry and so I was in need of mayo and ketchup. However, the sweet potato fries redeemed my entree.
The flatbread was quite large for one person’s entree. It smelled yummy.
So apparently, people who dine here a lot recommend two things off their menu: 1. their margaritas. 2. the fried fish sandwich. But when I saw these gi-normous onion rings, I knew my friend had ordered right! I know what i’m getting next time i eat here.
