Miyako Sushi Bar and Hibachi
1403 St. Charles Ave.
New Orleans, LA
This place has been in walking distance from my apt for a few years and yet I had never ventured over here but Sushi Brothers recently started charging for to go orders (they tack on an extra $1! for what! I’m picking up the food!i’m not taking up a table! you don’t have to wait on me!) Anywho, so I decided to check out my other sushi options in the area.
The metairie roll has snow crab, tempura flakes, spicy sauce (which is jus siracha sauce and mayo mixed) topped with salmon and avocado. This roll was pretty OK.
The Miyako roll has salmon, white fish, avocado, cucumber and caviar and then deep fried. I loved everything about this roll except for the white fish. The white fish flavor was really off-setting for my palate. The other roll is crunchy spicy salmon, which really didn’t have much going for it.
