Fresco Cafe
7625 Maple St.
New Orleans, LA
So a few friends and I came here for an early lunch on Saturday. I thought it’d be best to beat the crowd.
since it was so nice out we sat on the patio:
The service was pretty friendly but man, it took about 45 minutes for our food to come out and we were the only ones there when we ordered. I’m hoping this is because the kitchen had just opened and none of the food was prepared beforehand. That’s one of the nice things about Fresco Cafe, it’s fresh and clean tasting.
I had the gyro wrap which had Gyro meat, hummus, lettuce, tomato, red onions, and caciki sauce (yogurt and garlic dressing). I specifically asked the waittress for no red onions or tomatoes (in my book, the worst thing to eat is soggy cereal. the next worst thing is soggy bread which is what happens when you slice a tomato and let it hang out on a slice of bread). I was quite disappointed when I started taking pictures of my wrap and noticed the glaring red enemy inside my wrap.
My two friends both ordered the same dish: spinach and artichoke gourmet sandwich with Spinach, artichoke, mozzarella, feta, tomatoes, caramelized onions and garlic herb sauce.
so the grand total for all 3 of our sandwiches plus our various drinks minus the restaurant.com certificate came out to $16 including tax and tip! Awesome!
